Paper Animation

Paper animation is yet another type of stop motion,
using very similar techniques to the 3D clay animation usually.
The images are drawn onto various colours of paper and then stop motion
photography is used to make the paper appear real and move.

This animation all though it does use 3D Imagery, that only tends to
be the main character/object in the scene and then all of the backgrounds
such as buildings, trees and other objects.

I really like the way that this is created, the mix of the 3D and the 2D
works really well.

This second paper animation works really well, its extremely
fluid and mixes with the music really well. I like the attention to detail
taken here, the shadows among other things really stand out. This animation
also used 2D mixed with 3D and the beginning with the birds
is all 2D , but again this works really well.

This animation seems more like something i could do,
allthough its all only done on white paper i don't think it needs colour
and speaks for itself.

This animation is all 2D imagery. each piece is a separate piece
of paper and it is just moved in each frame, no body parts move at all
and thats why this is such a simple way of animating, because nothing
needs to change, once the initial characters are created they can be used
over and over to create different scenes.
