Sean Brooke - Effigies

Effegies is a companion zine by Sean Brookes for his

 show at Olio Gallery in Victoria, British Columbia. Brooke’s

 paintings are a surreal representation of malformed demigods, a

 commentary on the exploitation of nature / natural

 resources, and serves as a metaphor for the human

 framework. The artwork highlighted in this zine are a

 series of gray scale hand drawn illustrations, both new and old.

I think that this zine is really effective in the 

way it uses colour and texture.

I am looking at these so that i can start to 

think about how i am going to approach 

my zine. I love how simple this zine is, with just

a splash of colour it makes beautiful pieces of art

I have researched through many graphic design quotes to find some that start with "k" , "n" and "b" and these are my favorite of what i found.

There weren't many "k's" but the one i did find i really like. I now have to decide which i am going to use and which are most appropriate for my design.
